Unlike typical aquatic mosses, ‘Thyme Moss’ features comparatively large, bright-green translucent leaves with elegant wavy margins, establishing a lush, woodland-like atmosphere.

Key Features & Care Requirements:

• Environment: Ideal for terrariums, paludariums, and tropical moss-poles. It thrives primarily as an emerged wetland plant rather than fully submerged in aquariums.
• Difficulty: Easy to Medium.
• Growth Habit: Creeping, spreading mats that gradually carpet moist surfaces.
• Lighting: Low to Medium indirect light. Strong, direct sunlight should be avoided to prevent the delicate leaves from drying out.
• Humidity & Moisture: High humidity (70-90%) is required. The substrate or surface must be kept consistently moist. It is highly recommended to mist it regularly using RO, distilled, or rainwater to prevent mineral chemical burn/browning.

How to Prepare and Plant:

• Unpack: Open the sealed Terra 2 Grow! cup.
• Rinse: Gently wash away the clear nutrient growth gel from the moss under cool, running tap water.
• Divide: Cut or pull the dense moss clump into 6 to 8 smaller, manageable portions using sharp scissors or your fingers.
• Place: Gently press the portions onto damp, well-draining soil, or anchor them directly into the crevices of wet rocks or driftwood. Keep the enclosure closed initially to lock in the vital humidity needed for acclimation.
