Tropica Specialised Nutrition is a premium, all-in-one liquid fertiliser specifically formulated for heavily planted aquariums, fast-growing stems, and demanding carpeting plants. Unlike standard fertilisers, it includes both micro and macro-nutrients, making it ideal for high-tech setups (with CO2 and high lighting) or tanks with low fish populations where natural waste is insufficient.

Key Nutritional Benefits:

  • Complete Macro-Nutrients: Contains essential nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P) alongside potassium (K) to fuel rapid growth and substantial biomass.
  • Vital Micronutrients: Infused with iron (Fe), magnesium (Mg), manganese (Mn), boron, copper, zinc, and molybdenum to enhance natural colours and prevent deficiencies.
  • Targeted Uptake: Optimised for species that primarily absorb nutrients through their leaves, such as compact foreground and carpeting plants.

Recommended Dosing & Application:

The liquid can be added either as a single weekly dose or split into smaller daily amounts for a more stable nutrient level. It should ideally be dispensed near your filter pipe or air pump outlet to ensure rapid and uniform circulation throughout the tank.

  • Standard Weekly Dosage: 6 mL per 50 Litres of aquarium water, administered directly after your weekly water change.
  • Pump Calibration: The built-in pump mechanism precisely dispenses 2 mL per push. Therefore, the baseline dose is 3 pumps per 50 Litres.
  • Co2 Application: Pair with Tropica Pemium Nutrition 125ml for efficient plant growth.

Managing Algae Risks:

Because this fertiliser contains both nitrogen and phosphorus, overloading your tank can trigger unwanted algae blooms. If you spot signs of algae development:

  1. Reduce the dosage by 50% immediately.
  2. Increase water changes by 50% (e.g., changing up to 50% of the volume weekly) to physically flush out excess spores and nutrient accumulation.
