It is generally considered inert, meaning it typically will not alter the water’s pH or hardness. Therefore, it is an excellent choice for both freshwater planted tanks and terrariums.

• Design Potential: The unique pores and striations allow aquascapers to easily attach mosses or create strong visual depth.
• Colour Variations: Kowloon rock varies in colour from rock to rock which creates a vivid natural look underwater.
• Inert: Kowloon rock is inert. This means it will not affect your waters GH or KH.

Setup and Preparation Tips:

• Cleaning: Natural rock should always be rinsed and scrubbed thoroughly (using just hot water and a soft brush) to remove any loose debris or dust from shipping.
• Placement: When stacking rocks, it is highly recommended to place an egg crate or a thin piece of aquarium-safe foam on the bottom glass beneath your substrate. This distributes the weight evenly and prevents heavy stones from cracking the bottom pane.
