How to Prime & Start a Nubios HOB Filter:

1. Level the Unit: Ensure the filter housing hangs completely vertical against the back rim of the aquarium.
2. Fill the Reservoir: Manually pour aquarium water straight into the filter box until it is full before plugging it in. Never run the pump dry.
3. Open the Valve: Turn the intake flow control nozzle entirely open to allow the pump to pull water easily.
4. Top Off: If it chatters or struggles to pull a vacuum, keep pouring small amounts of tank water into the reservoir while it is plugged in until the self-priming siphon catches fully.
