Female Plakat Siamese Fighter/Betta Fish (Assorted) is typically used to build a “sorority tank,” a community of multiple female bettas living together. Plakats are short-finned, highly active bettas that are much less encumbered by heavy fins than standard varieties, making them fast and dynamic swimmers.

To successfully keep mixed female Plakats, consider the following parameters:

• Tank Size: Minimum 60 litres is recommended for a female sorority to provide enough territory, while a solo female requires a 20+ litre setup.
• Environment: They require heavy planting, floating logs, and visual barriers to reduce aggression and stress.
• Tank Mates: Best housed with peaceful community fish like neon tetras, or alone in a single-species setup to avoid fin-nipping.
• Diet: Small meals once or twice daily utilizing high-quality betta pellets, daphnia, and occasional live foods.
