The chili rasbora (Boraras brigittae) is a tiny, brilliantly red nano freshwater fish native to the peat swamps of Borneo. Growing to just under 2 cm, these peaceful schooling fish feature a striking dark lateral stripe and thrive in densely planted, mature aquariums.

Environmental Parameters:

• Tank Size: Minimum of 30 liters for a small group.
• Water Temperature: 20–28°C.
• pH Range: 4.0–7.0 (prefers soft, slightly acidic, tannin-stained water).
• General Hardness (GH): 2–10.

Dietary Needs:

• Food Size: Micro-sized foods due to their very small mouths.
• Diet Type: Omnivorous; accept crushed high-quality flakes, micro pellets, baby brine shrimp, cyclops, and daphnia.
• Feeding Habit: Mid-water feeders; ensure food is fine enough so they are not outcompeted.
